For many years, long before I actually started my business, I had ideas about how a currency company could be and should be run.

Currency broking is a crowded and competitive industry which has resulted in an incredibly price sensitive environment, a condition that tightens the margins of its players.

Whilst working in larger currency companies I observed the effect of this on customer facing staff who carried daily / weekly and monthly revenue targets. The net result was a moving price point, where more often than not over time clients ended up paying more for their currency than they started out.

The push to act on my vision came when I started a family, it was time to ditch the commute into London and develop my ideas.

One of the many fortunate circumstances I had at my disposal was a long history in the currency broking market. When I joined in June 1999, the barriers to entry level jobs were steep and the training thorough and comprehensive.

In my time I have witnessed many changes in the industry and in the markets; 2 recessions, 5 presidents, and one Brexit vote! I felt confident in my abilities to create and run the company I envisaged. I am passionate about challenging larger brokers and banks by providing transparent and fair pricing to all of my clients, coupled with exemplary levels of service.

Based in the heart of the Thames Valley here at Ruvien we really believe every client is different and requires a unique approach. From the very first contact we take the time to understand a client’s needs and objectives, this allows us to work in partnership with businesses and individuals.

We can provide access to over 30 currencies, with a way of working to suit each and every one of our clients. Whether it’s via the telephone or straight through processing from your desktop, we aim to make currency transactions transparent, seamless and secure.
